Meet Lydia Austen MBE
Founder, Snow Hopes
I started Snow Hopes because I love snow sports and because I could see a gap for well-organised, community-first ski and snowboard trips for solo travellers, friends and couples who want more than a standard package holiday.
I've spent the last 20 years organising trips for groups who want to make the most of their time both on and off the mountain, stay somewhere good and come away having met people they actually want to see again.
That's what Snow Hopes is all about.
It's still personal, too. Full-time job by day, Snow Hopes by evening and weekend. Every trip, every post, every booking question, it's me.
No call centre. No script. Just someone who genuinely loves this and wants you to have a brilliant time.

Come as you are
Our travellers are generally aged 30–65+, with no restrictions. If you're up for a great trip, you're welcome.

We coordinate the experience
Snow Hopes handles the community and trip coordination, while bookings happen directly with the licensed travel partner responsible for your holiday.

Ride together
Our trips bring together enough people to make it easy to find others who want to ride at your pace, without expecting everyone to start or finish at the same time.

Travel your way
Flights and rail aren't included unless stated, so you can choose the route that suits you. Stuck? No problem - we can recommend some options. Where available, optional transfers can get you from the airport or station to the mountain.

Social when you want it
Meet-ups, social activities, group dinners and après are opt-in. Get involved as much or as little as suits you.

Bring your kit, or we can sort rental for you. You're all set to hit the mountain.
